While in Capital Reef we spent an afternoon hiking looking for a sunset location. The sun had set and we had all but given up on finding a sunset location. We had a few miles of walking, and the trail was mostly washed out from the rains from the last few days. While a bit lost and moving quickly to get back down before it got too dark the sky stated to turn a brilliant red.

 I looked to my right and saw the Pectols Pyramid in the distance. I quickly made my way across the valley and found this lovely composition. Pectols Pyramid is an iconic landmark in the park and stands an impressive 6,211ft tall. This is not the way I normally compose and create photos, however luck was truly on my side this late evening.
