The Grand Canyon is always an amazing place, when it’s covered in freshly fallen snow it seems to make it even more majestic.  We headed out to the Moran Point area sometime before sunset and stated to hike around the area. The snow added a bit of risk as it’s not always easy to tell if there is solid ground under the snow or a 1,000 foot fall.

While there were a fair amount of people in the park we managed to climb down enough to find an area that had remained undisturbed. I setup the tripod and found these amazing desert bushes still covered in snow. As the sun went down, the last light of the day hit the ground in front of us and the sky turned red over the entire canyon. The reflected light gave a warm red color to the entire world. I could not be any happier then creating this photography
