Canyonlands National Park is massive and comprised of three unique sections. The most accessible is the Island in the Sky area of Canyonlands. Here you will find Mesa Arch, a pothole arch on the eastern edge of the Island in the Sky mesa. This spectacular natural sand stone arch is perched at the edge of a cliff with wonderful views of the canyon below as well as Monster Tower, Washer Woman Arch, Airport Tower, and the Las Sal Mountains in the distance.

We came here for several mornings in a row looking for the right conditions. The most popular photo is dead on to encompass the entire arch. That is the first photo I created from here. However, on the last morning I went far to the right. I feel this is much more unique photo of the arch and canyon area below. I was also able to capture and blend in a perfect sun star into the scene.
