I’ve been to Merriman Falls in the Quinault Rain Forest a number of times, however this was the first I’ve been there on the edge of winter. The water flow was much lower than in previous visits. However, as always it is never disappointing. The green moss really stood out in contrast to the dark and wet rocks on this day. A very simple composition with the main waterfall in the background and the water flowing towards the camera down a series of smaller falls. All framed together by the massive fallen tree across the entire frame.
