As it often does in the Pacific Northwest, it rained on and off throughout the day and as my daughter and I hiked down the beat the rain had just stopped. As the clouds stated to break up a few hours before sunset I knew we had the chance for something special. We hiked far down the beach away from most people and I found this interesting composition. As the light broke free from the clouds, it allowed the sand just in front of the camera to glow. The entire sky reflected in the water in front of us and in the far distance the sky was turning yellow behind the lighthouse. This was truly more than I could have asked for and a great example of the beauty of the Oregon coast.
