Within the Brooklyn Bridge Park lies this treasure of a photography location. The remains of an Old Pier 1 lead your eyes right into one of the most iconic skylines of anywhere in the world. The old pier may be long gone, however the entire DUMBO area has in recent years been completely revitalized. This is the ideal location to watch the sun go down over lower Manhattan with views of Wall Street and some of the most famous buildings including One World Trade Center.

I was very lucky when I captured this image, you have to have all the elements line up for you. Clouds, sky, sun, light, building lights, water conditions, getting the right space (in a crowded area) and no boats! I’ve been to this spot many times, and each attempt I take hundreds of photos hoping later I can create what i see in my mind. This image is the fruit of that image perfectly capturing the city.

As a side note if any of you venture down this park I would strongly recommend grabbing a slice of pizza at Grimaldi’s.
