Trunk Beach is one of the iconic beaches in the Virgin Islands right down the road from the almost equally famous Cinnamon Bay Beach. It’s a really stunning Caribbean beach, with islands and a huge coral reef. It’s very hard to get a truly stunning sunset photo here because of how popular it is. I would walk all the way to the end of the beach and came back day after day until I had the perfect conditions and did not have a beach full of people.

Everything lined up for this photo, the sunset itself was stunning with the clouds glowing red and the sky turning yellow. The water had a wonderful reflection of the sky and turned red. You can see the ruins of a windmill from an old sugar plantation in the distance.
