This is a very different kind of landscape from what I take at most of the National Parks. Hot Springs National Park is a very different type of park. This park protects both the forests and the historic downtown and row of eight original bathhouses at Hot Springs. While we explored the entire park (it’s not that big) I found my self drawn to the row of the amazing structures.

Buckstaff Bathhouse is the only remaining functional bathhouse in Hot Springs National Park. This impressive building has been giving baths for well over 100 years and is on the National Register of Historic Places. On the morning of this photo it had just rained and storms where still rolling in. I spent the pre-dawn hours walking alone up and down the row of building. I love the shape, feel and architecture of this building and was able to create this image right before the storm started up again.
