On a day full of smoke from nearby western wildfires we made the long drive to the southeast corner of Glacier National Park to the Two Medicine Valley. The wonderful part about visiting this area other than the insane beauty is that there are many fewer visitors. It’s a rather long drive from the start of the Going to the Sun Road and that Apgar are. However, for those who are willing to make the trek down to this area you are rewarded with an extraordinary area with lakes, mountains, meadows and all the spender that Glacier has to offer.

The day was filled with storm clouds and of course smoke, so we spent some hours exploring the lake area, hiking around and in general enjoying the views. For sunset I setup right on the lake shore and hope for good lighting. I was rewarded with stunning rays of light into the clouds. The smoke turned into a wonderful color and added drama to this scene.
